Anita Andrews Stark born May, 18th 1919 in El Campo, Texas, died peacefully on January 24, 2013 in Tucson, AZ at the age of 93.

Anita was a very lively, strong woman who lived her life dedicated to family, friends, Country and her Lutheran faith. She met her husband Leroy in Texas and they were married and moved to Alexandra, Virginia. She worked her career as an Administrative Assistant for a General in the US Army at Fort Belvoir, Virginia. She was awarded many certificates of excellence during her career.

She was a loving wife to Leroy and a loving Mother to Randy, who passed away two years ago. After her retirement, she and her husband Leroy Stark pursued their passion for round dancing. This passion took them all across the United States and Europe. They became well known dance instructors and were truly respected by their peers.

After Leroy's death, Anita spent time focusing on her other interests; spending time with her family; her son and grandchildren. She also had a "green thumb" and spent many hours gardening. She always had fresh flowers and fruits from her garden to share with friends and family.

Anita spent her last years at Fidelity Home Care in Tucson where the owners and staff made her feel like family. She was very happy there and loved by them. She was never alone and they gave her the gifts of love, comfort and a sense of home. We are very grateful to God for blessing her with this place and these people.

Anita is survived by her grandchildren, Vincent Joseph Stark, Annemarie Katrina Schmidt and her four great-grandchildren, Zach (9), Andrew (7), Nicholas (6) and Luka (4), who all loved her very much.

She showed her love of life, will to live and unwavering love for God until her peaceful passing. We are all comforted by knowing she is in heaven with God and Jesus her Savior. Grammy, we love you and we will miss you, until we met again, you will be in our prayers. Please give our Dad a big hug and kiss for us, we miss him dearly.
