Married Walter Scot in 1824, but by the time of his death in 1847 there was no issue, and the Abbotsford estate passed to her husband's sister's children.

FUNERAL OF LADY SCOTT
The funeral of the late Lady Scott of Abbotsford (Miss Jane Jobson, of Lochore), widow of the late Lieutenant-Colonel Sir Walter Scott, eldest son the novelist, took place to-day. The remains having been convoyed few days since rail from London to Melrose, were removed to the King's Arms Hotel there. At noon the cortege proceeded to Dryburgh Abbey, about four miles distant, a service in the Presbyterian form having previously been conducted by the Rev. Dr Herdman minister of Melrose. On the arrival of the procession the family aisle the Episcopalian burial service was read by the Rev. William Simpson, incumbent of Trinity Church, Melrose, and the remains were thereafter committed to the vault.
