In 1893 in Affoltern am Albis, a suburb of Zurich, Switzerland, Eduard Werner Denzler was born to Dr. Heinrich Johann Denzler and Marie Henrietta Heuer Denzler. Shortly afterwards the family moved to Zurich. Eduard studied medicine at the University of Zurich and after getting his credentials, he took over the practice of his father. Eduard was a general practitioner and neurologist. In 1922 he married Esther Gengenbach; they had 2 boys and 1 girl. Eduard inherited his grandfather's and his father's love of music. He played several instruments, piano, accordion and violin; music relaxed and satisfied him. Eduard also worked with the Red Cross as a senior consultant and developed several innovative life-saving techniques. Wearing the costume of a tanner to represent the ancient guild of the Denzler family, Eduard enjoyed marching in local parades. Eduard died of cancer in 1940 at a rather young age, 47. He was buried in the family plot at Friedhof Fluntern Cemetery with his parents, Heinrich Johann and Marie Heuer Denzler, his wife Esther Gengenbach and his brother Harry.
