Memorial service for Mary Nowicki Golachuk, 87, of Decatur will be Saturday, March 27, 2004, at 4 p.m. at Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Curtis Cochran and Deacon Jim Bodine officiating.
Visitation will be Saturday from 3:30 until service time and after the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Golachuk died Wednesday, March 24, 2004, at Parkway Medical Center. She was born April 5, 1916, in Rochester, N.Y., to Peter Nowicki and Ida Nowicki. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Golachuk lived in Rochester for 60 years. She moved to Decatur 15 years ago. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nick Golachuk, who passed away Jan. 24, 2003; her parents; five brothers, Frank Nowicki, Joseph Nowicki, John Nowicki, Walter Nowicki and Stanley Nowicki; and two sisters, Helen Nowicki and Bertha Sak.
Survivors include one daughter, Carol Ann Kauffman Estes and husband John of Hartselle; three grandchildren, Debbie Erwin and husband Bobby of Chattanooga Mark Kauffman and wife Stephanie of Good Hope and Mike Kauffman and wife Cassandra of Decatur; and five great-grandchildren, Sadie Kauffman, Kalitta Kauffman, Robert Erwin, Malorie Kauffman and Mason Kauffman.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Annunciaton of the Lord Catholic Church of Decatur or to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in Memphis.
