Mrs. Mary Durena Gunnells, 67, of Hayti, died there June 23, 1988. Born June 20, 1921 in Kenton, Tenn., she was the daughter of Luther and Rosie Charles Eddleman. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church and the widow of Carl Gunnells.
She is survived by one son, Thomas Gunnells of Atoka, Tenn.; Seven daughters, Nelda Gunnells of Caruthersville, Linda Davis of Hayti, Mrs. Ruby Young and Mrs. Deborah Loveless, both of Atoka, Mrs. Jeannie Stacy of Millington, Tenn., Mrs. Mary Vinal of Munford, Tenn., and Mrs. Joannie Daughenbaugh of Tustin, Calif.; One brother, Paul Eddleman of Memphis; One sister, Mrs. Mozelle Guy of McComb, Miss.; Thirty-three grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by three sons and two daughters.
Services were June 26 at 2 p.m. at John W. German Funeral Home chapel in Hayti, the Rev. Donnie Morrison officiating, with burial in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jimmie Morgan, Glen Whitener, Gene Thompson, Roger Berry, Billy Walker and Bob Ingram.
Honorary pallbearers were Leo Brown and Joe Joyner.
