Mrs. Wanda Jean Jackson Aldrich, age 73, died on Friday February 5, 2016 at her residence under the care of Ogeechee Area Hospice.

The native of Jenkins County was the daughter of the late John Paul Jackson and Willie Cleo Clifton Jackson.

She attended Portal High School. Wanda was employed with Brooks Instrument, Daniel Inc. now Brodie Meter, retiring as Production Planner, following 35 years of service. Additionally she had worked with Cooper Industries for 12 years. 1n 2000 she graduated from Ogeechee Technical College with a degree in accounting. Wanda was a member of the Portal United Methodist Church.

Surviving are her husband, Joe Aldrich of Statesboro; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Debbie Hilton, Shelia and Keith Perkins and Marcia and Greg Collins all of Statesboro; seven grandchildren, Matt Hilton and wife Mandy, Preston Moore and wife Casey, Ben Perkins, Robert Hilton, Keith Collins, Tyler Collins and Brandon Collins; three great grandchildren; a brother, Johnny Jackson of Jesup; her mother-in-law, Mary Motes Aldrich of Statesboro; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bill and Rita Aldrich of Valdosta and sister-in-law, Linda Aldrich of Statesboro. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

The family will receive visitors on Sunday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home in Statesboro.

Funeral services will be Monday at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home with Elder John Scott officiating.

Interment will be in Bulloch Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be her Grandsons.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made to St. Judes Children’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place Memphis, TN 38105 or Ogeechee Area Hospice P O Box 531, Statesboro, GA. 30459.
