He is the beloved husband of the late Naomi Wurst and Elizabeth “Betty” Allen Wurst; father of Christian E. Wurst Jr. and his wife Suzanne; step father of Jean A. McConnell and James Allen and his wife Bernice; grandfather of David A. and Jennifer L. McConnell, Raymond Rowand, Linda Rowand Mott, Christian E. Wurst III and Isaac Mark Wurst, Gregory J. and Katherine B. Allen.
During his working career Christian was a heavy equipment mechanic in the construction industry. His proudest lifetime achievement was his service in the US Army 1st Armored Division during World War Two. In recognition of his service he received the European African Middle Eastern Service Medal with 6 Bronze Stars. During his wartime service Christian fought in Algeria, French Morocco, Tunisia and Italy.
Relatives and friends were invited to call Monday, September 23, 2002, from 12 Noon to 1:00 P.M. at the Wetzel and Son Funeral Home, 6902 Rising Sun Avenue, Philadelphia. Interment at Whitemarsh Memorial Park in Prospectville followed the funeral service.
