Barbara Dahl passed away August 30 at Orchard Pointe Memory Care in Port Orchard under Hospice care. She was 88 years old. She was born October 21, 1924 in Allyn, WA. She was the eighth of nine children born to John and Johanna Reed.

As a child the Reed family traveled around to different towns as her father found work in the logging industry. In 1942 she graduated from Irene S. Reed High School in Shelton. She worked for a short time at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard during the war years and was employed for fifteen years as an oyster shucker at Sargent Oyster Co. in Allyn.

In 1946 she married Harvey (Russ) Dahl in Seattle. They were married for 64 years until his passing in 2011. They lived their entire married life in Victor, WA. Together they raised three daughters. She has one surviving sibling as well as four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

She and Russ spent many years golfing at local golf courses and as members of Golf World traveled to many different locations chasing around ”that little white ball". They traveled with friends and met many along the way. They were also members of the Victor Community Club and were charter members of the Lakeland Village Golf Club. Russ now has his "Barbie Dahl" back with him.

Barbara loved to read, play cards and crocheted many, many beautiful doilies for her family and friends. She always looked forward to spring when she could get outdoors and plant many beautiful flowers and plants in her yard.
At her request there will be no funeral service. Graveside services will be held at Twin Firs Cemetery in Belfair September 7.
