Paul was born Dec. 10, 1922 in Bloomington, a son of Claus and Edith Buck Menken. He married Barbara Armbruster Lough Menken on Aug. 26, 1961. She survives.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, George Menken and Gerald Menken; a sister, Edith Gibson and an infant daughter, Denise Anne Menken.
He is also survived by his children, Nancy (Bill) Gerling, Sue (Tim) Lane, Patricia Ehrmantraut, Michael (Bonnie) Lough, Pamela (Doug) Scott, Paul Menken and Michelle Perry; 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; his brothers, Earl (Virginia) Menken, Bloomington and Eldon (Deni) Menken; sister, Greta Cooper; brother-in-law, Leon Gibson; sister-in-law, Jean Menken and many nieces and nephews.
Paul proudly served his country in the U.S. Marines during World War II. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion. He served in the honor guard for many years.
