Oluf Hansen died at the age of 80, under the care of Hospice, at his home. He graduated from Ramona High School in 1953. He farmed near Ramona and raised Livestock. He also was a Truck Owner/Operator for many years. He also was Assistant Manager of the Ramona Assisted Living Center, and ran a Café and Service Station. He was a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church in Ramona.

He was preceded in death by his parents Olga (Horsemann) Hansen and Carl Hansen, and his first wife of 36 years who died in 1992, JoAnn (Palmer) Hansen. He is survived by: His second wife of 25 years, Faye (Heldt) Hansen of Ramona, South Dakota, a daughter Cindy Rheault of Ramona, South Dakota, Two Stepdaughters-Leslie Lewis of Sioux Falls, South Dakota and Toni Weiss of Clear Lake, South Dakota, three grandchildren, six stepgrandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 2 stepgreat-grandchildren, and a sister Nancy Rensch of Ramona, South Dakota.
