Leslie D. Maserjian-Schuyler, 51, of the Town of Poughkeepsie passed away unexpectedly on Saturday May 5, 2012 at Vassar Bros. Medical Center. She was born in Manhattan on November 2, 1960, the daughter of Jack & Arlene Gersh Goldner. She was originally from White Plains, N.Y. and came to Poughkeepsie in 1986. She was a graduate of S.U.N.Y. Albany and the Benjamin Cardoza School of Law. She was an Attorney with her own practice in Poughkeepsie and decided to return to school. She graduated from Dutchess Community College with a Degree in Nursing. She was R.N. with Family Services in Poughkeepsie. She was married in 1996 in Poughkeepsie to Dr. Larry Schuyler. He pre-deceased her on February 6, 2003. She is presently survived by her significant other, David Meltzer of Poughkeepsie. As a member of The Town of Poughkeepsie Republican Committee she was involved in several of the Judge’s elections. She was a Sunday School Teacher at Vassar Temple and a board member of the Sisterhood of Vassar Temple. Leslie was a loving mother, sister and an amazing person. Survivors include her Sons: Jack & Arthur Maserjian and Lewis Schuyler all of Poughkeepsie; Brother: Paul Goldner of Somers, NY; Sister: Jori Goldner of Suffern, NY; Nieces: Taryn, Jaki, Elissa & Jennifer; Nephews: Keith & Mark and her Father & Mother-in-law: Dr. Leonard & May Schuyler, MD of Hackensack, NJ. Services are Monday, May 7, 2012 in Vassar Temple, 140 Hooker Avenue, Poughkeepsie, NY, 12603 At 1PM. Rabbi Paul Golomb will officiate. Burial will follow in the family plot in Vassar Temple Cemetery, Poughkeepsie, NY. Shiva will be held at the family residence.
