Anna Kerbs Meier and Jacob Meier were married October 28, 1923 in Shattuck, Ellis County, Oklahoma.Anna Kerbs Meier was born July 26, 1898 in Holstein, Russia, and died June 11, 1932, at Shattuck, OK, at the age of 33 years, 10 months, and 16 days.

Shortly after her birth, Anna moved with her parents to Lehigh, KS where she lived until 1901 when the family moved to Shattuck. In 1923 Anna was married to Jacob Meier and proved a faithful wife to him until the day of her death. She became a child of God at the age of fourteen years, and joined the Seventh Day Adventist Church, of which she has been a member ever since. Mr. (Jacob) Meier was a constant and patient companion to his wife during her eight weeks of suffering in the Shattuck hospital. Through all of her pain she was a believer in the Bible and it was a great comfort to her.

Anna leaves her father and mother, Adam and Mary (Beitz) Kerbs; four sisters, Katy Meier, Molly Phines, Mary Steinert, and Cary Ehrlich; and four brothers, Adam, Huldrich, Alec and Willie Kerbs.

Revs. Wassenmiller and Fleming preached at the funeral, which was held at the Methodist Church. Mason Mortuary was in charge.

Burial was in the Adventist Cemetery aka Seventh Day Adventist or Weiss Cemetery Soc. 15 Twp 20 R 25 located 5 miles south of Shattuck and 1 mile east.
