Dr. Anne Churchill Humphrey (Radcliffe 1959)(Harvard M.A. 1961, PhD 1967) was the daughter of Judge Alexander Pope, III (1911-97) and Nancy Delia Robb Humphrey (1912-92)(Smith 1933), of Louisville, Ky. She lived in Waterloo, Ontario. She married (1) in 1958, Dr. Jan Fredric Narveson (b.1936)(UChicago 1956)(Harvard M.A. 1958, PhD 1962), son of Carl Robert (1901-92)(Concordia 1923)(UMinn. M.A. 1940) and Sophie Krebtcek Narveson (1901-92)(Moorhead 1923), of Moorhead, Minn. They were professors of philosophy at the University of Waterloo. His father was a college administrator, and his mother was an English teacher. Their daughter is Kaja Lee Narveson (Trent 1983)(Toronto MLS 1989). Dr. Humphrey married (2) in 1970, Dr. J. Sayer Minas (b.1926)(Wayne State 1950)(UIll. PhD 1962), son of James Stavros (1881-1979) and Maryam Sayer Minas (1888-1960), of Detroit. He was a professor of computer science at Drexel University and served in the Navy in WWII, 1943-45. Their son, Jacob Alexander Minas (UPenn. 1994)(Columbia Law 1997), is an attorney.
