JOHN BRUMLEVE DIES

Word was received by relatives in this community that John Bmmleve passed away at his home in Mattoon Friday evening;Oct, 11, 1946 about 7:30 o'clock, after having been bedfast for the .past two weeks. Mr. Brumleve was 89 years of age last April.

Funeral services were held Monday morning at 9 o'clock in the form of a Requiem High Mass at the Immaculate Conception Church at Mattoon, with burial taking: place in the Catholic cemetery in that city.

Mr. Brumleve was preceded in death by his wife the former Lena Hattrup and one daughter: Louise. Nine sons and one daughter survive, namely Helen, who made her home with her father at Mattoon; Ferd of Springfield; Al and Harry of Chicago; Ed of Washington, D. C.; Ralph of Charleston; Sylvester, John, Joseph and Tony of Mattoon,

Mrs. Al Dasenbrock and Mrs, Ben Schniederjan of Teutopolis; Mrs. Ralph Dasenbrock and Mrs. Alph Gardewine and daughter of Effingham were among the relatives from this vicinity who attended the funeral services.
