Mr. Bosshart was born on May 22, 1931, in Floral Park, New York, the son of John and Catherine Martin Bosshart. He married Lucille Wollenschlager on Nov. 28, 1952 in Hampstead, New York; she survives.
Also surviving are four children, Kathleen Kueker, Robert Glenn Bosshart, Karen Hennis and Amy Bosshart; one brother, John Bosshart; eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Roger Bosshart and one sister, Margaret Bosshart.
Mr. Bosshart was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict.
He was a civil service instructor at Chanute Air Force Base, Rantoul.
Mr. Bosshart was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Champaign.
He was a licensed pilot and loved engineering.
