They had six children in 10 years. She died on June 5, 1840, in her hometown, at the age of 41. She was buried at the local cemetery in Rockenhausen. In the 1970's a relative, Clinton B. Gass traveled to Rockenhausen, Germany to visit relative Heinrich Eberle there. Heinrich had told him that the cemetery was in very poor shape there and that it would not be likely that they would find her grave.
