Marvin J. Mahlmann, 69, of Germantown/Schnitzelburg in Louisvile Past away on March 2, 2016
He served in the United States Army and The Army Reserve. He owned Beechmont Hardware store for 6 years. He retired from A&P Grocery Store after 19 years. Then went on to work at the Kentucky Fair and Expo Center and retired from there after 20 years of service.
He was proceeded in death by his parents Joseph and Barbara Mahlmann.
He is survived by his wife Peggy A. Mattingly-Mahlmann, A Brother Kenny Mahlmann, 2 Sisters Jerry Saylor (Lee), and Kathy Weikel (John). 2 Children, Teri L. Savage and Kenny R. Mattingly, 1 God Daughter Nadia Mahlmann and 5 Grandchildren.
He had a large heart and a genourous soul and he was loved by everyone.
He went to school at St. Elizabeth's and Graduated from Trinity High School in 1964.He was a great supporter of his Alumni.
He was one of the most kind, generous and wonderful people you would have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Everyone that came in contact with him immediately liked him and he never met a stranger.
He donated Selflessly and Generously to many orginizations. Some of which are National Law Enforcement, National Wildlife Federation, Childrens Cancer Recovery, Toys for Tots, Nature Conservancy, The Smithsonia, American Legion, Disabled VeternsAssociation, US Depity Sheriffs Association, Sierra Club, American Cancer Institute, World Lifetime Fund, FOP, Save the Chimps, Kids Wish Network, USA Olympics, Special Olympics, WWF, St. Labre Indian School, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Make a wish Foundation, VFW and many, many More.
Visitation will be at Bosse Funeral Home, 1355 Ellison Ave @ Barrett Avenues on Thursday March 10 From 2 - 8 PM.
The Funeral will be Friday March 11 at 12 PM With Burial to follow at Kentucky Veterns Cemetary, 2501 N. Dixie Blvd., Radcliff, Kentucky.
