EL RENO - Funeral for Herman Karl Schellstede, 74, a retired Canadian county farmer who died in his home Wednesday, will be Saturday at 2 p.m. in Trinity Lutheran church.
A native of Nebraska Schellstede came to Oklahoma in 1893 and farmed near Piedmont until 1944 when he retired and moved to El Reno. He was a member of the Lutheran church.
He is survived by his wife, Matilda; a sister, Mrs. Anna Schroeder, Okarche.
