R. Glen Humer, 80, of 540 Salmon Road, Hampden Twp., died Saturday at home.
He was retired from the former Pennsylvania Railroad. He was a former Cumberland County Constable and an auxiliary deputy sheriff for the county.
His memberships include: past president and life member of the Cumberland County Fire Police Association;
Hampden Twp. Fire Company; captain of the Hampden Twp. fire police; past president and retired member of the Association of Machinists 1869 of Enola; life member of the Mechanicsburg Sportsman Club; Cumberland County Fireman's Association; honor member of the Washington Fire Company No. 1, Mechanicsburg; past governor Marysville Loyal Order of Moose, Keystone 41, where he also held a life fellowship degree; member of the Pa. Fire Police Association; Shiremanstown Fire Company; Friendship Fire Company No. 5, Carlisle; Enola Sportsman's Club; and Hampden Twp. Republican Association. He was a veteran of the Pennsylvania National Guard.
He was the widower of Jessie M. Humer.
Surviving are his wife, Mabel E. Fink Humer; a son, Robert C. Humer Jr. of Camp Hill; two daughters, Diana K.
DeHart of York and Cindy R. Humer of Dover; three brothers, Elmer, Willard and Milton, all of Mechanicsburg; four stepsons; three stepdaughters; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10: 30 a.m. Wednesday at Myers Funeral Home, Mechanicsburg.
Burial will be in Kutz Church Cemetery, Middlesex Twp. A viewing will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at the funeral home.
