Judy K. Pipher Hill, 56, of 11 Sawyer Hill Lane, Athens, Pa., Sheshequin Township, passed away Monday morning, March 14, 2016 at the Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, Pa. Judy was born in Waverly, N.Y. on May 26, 1959, the daughter of Dale Pipher and Miriam Driscoll Pipher. She was a graduate of Athens High School class of 1977 and continued her education at Pauline's Beauty School in Elmira, N.Y. In early years, Judy worked at Nickeson's Greenhouse in Hornbrook. Her love of home and family, especially her granddaughters who were her pride and joy, was of the greatest importance in her life. Judy also loved nature, wildflowers and genealogy.

Surviving are her husband, Mark D. Hill; son and daughter-in-law, Carl A. and Mallory Hill of Sheshequin; granddaughters, Kylie Jo and Anna Pipher Hill; sisters, Penny (Ric) White of Athens, and Susan Hadlock (Thomas Comstock) of Laceyville; nephews, Dale Farr and John Hadlock; nieces, Ashley and Cody White; as well as several aunts, uncles, great-nieces, great-nephews and numerous close friends.

Judy was preceded in death by her father, Dale Pipher; mother, Miriam Driscoll Pipher Elinski; step father, John Elinski; and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Carolyn and Carl Hill.

The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. Friday at the Bowen-Farr Funeral Home, 6 Farr St., Ulster, Pa. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 19, at the Ulster United Methodist Church with Pastor Kitty Keller and Pastor Jon Austin officiating. Interment will follow in the Sheshequin Valley Cemetery, Sheshequin Township, Pa. The family suggests that contributions may be directed to the Lupus Foundation of America, 2000 L Street N.
