Mr. Walter "Wally" Zellweger age 62 years of O'Connor Township passed away peacefully in St. Joseph's Hospice, with his family by his side, on Thursday April 25, 2002. Born in Ennetbaden, Switzerland in 1939, Wally came to Canada, to O'Connor Township when he was 9 years old. Working mostly as a Dispatcher in the Trucking Industry, Wally had worked with Kingsway Transport and most recently Arnone Transport. He belonged to the Loyal Order of Moose Fort William Lodge No. 844, serving as Governor for one term and also belonged to the Moose Choir for many years. He loved music and played several instruments. Wally enjoyed bowling, photography, and especially gardening, owning and operating Zellwegers Garden Center for many years. Wally will be sadly missed by his loving wife Sandi 2 sons Anthony and Cody and 1 daughter Dana, all at home. Daughters Rosanne {Andre}, Grandson Joseph, Bonnie {Anthony} and Grandchildren Jeannine Douglas. Aryanna and son Michael, mother Marie Rahmer. Brothers Al{Wendy}, Warn, Fritz{Carol). Numerous Nieces Nephews and other relatives also survive, here and in Switzerland. Wally was predeceased by his daughter Alanna son Robin, 2 grandsons Robin and Nicholas, his sister Marie and his father.Funeral Services for the late Mr. Wally Zellweger will be held on Tuesday April 30, 2002 at 1:30 PM in the EVEREST FUNERAL CHAPEL, 299 Waverley St. at Algoma. Interment will follow in the O'Connor Cemetery. Visitation for friends will be offered on Monday evening from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM in the Everest Chapel. If friends so desire donations to the St. Joseph's Hospice would be greatly appreciated.A donation in honour of Mr. Wally Zellweger has been made to St. Joseph's Hospice by Everest of Thunder Bay.Please sign theonline condolences ateverestofthunderbay.com"
