Donald Edward Janssen, 65, passed away December 11, 2011 at his home from Glioblastoma brain cancer. He was born January 22, 1946 to Edward and Winona (Divoll) Janssen. Don attended UNL and earned a BS in Agronomy and a MS in Horticulture and Forestry. He was an extension educator in horticulture with the U of N Cooperative Extension. He is an Eagle Scout. Don's hobbies were operating two Christmas tree farms and hunting. Don married Susan Woodrum July 6, 1974.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, December 15, 2011 at Grace Lutheran Church, 2225 Washington Street. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be given to NETV and Lincoln Food Bank. Arrangements by Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home. Condolences may be left at lincolnfh.com
