JACOB GABLER, 85, DIES AT ROSCOE HOME WEDNESDAY

Jacob Isaac Gabler, 85, Nolan county farmer for the last 40 years, died at his home west of Roscoe at 5 p.m. Wednesday.

Gabler was born in Germany and came to the United States 79 years ago. He settled in Gonzales County for 20 years before coming to Roscoe. His wife died in 1939.

He is survived by two sons, Edward of Sweetwater and A. A. of Sweetwater; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in the Lutheran Church west of Roscoe. Interment will be in the Roscoe Cemetery under direction of Wells Funeral Home.
