Hackfeld Rites Set on Thursday

Roscoe, Jan 9 - Private funeral services for Otto H. Hackfeld, 62, of the Loraine and Roscoe communities, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Hackfeld farm home five miles west of here.

Regular services will be held at 2:30 p.m. at the Salem Lutheran Church. Officiating will be the Rev. E. A. Rode, pastor. Burial will be in Roscoe Cemetery with Wells Funeral Home in charge.

Mr. Hackfeld, a farmer, died in Johnson Hospital Tuesday afternoon. He had suffered a stroke earlier in the day.

He was born on July 27, 1894 in Runge and came to this area in 1908. Mr. Hackfeld was married on Sept. 27, 1915 to Emma Heine in Roscoe.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Oscar of the home, Willie of Loraine and Victor of College Station, a student at Texas A&M College there; three daughters, Mrs. Alma Green of Sweetwater, Mrs. Bernice Patterson of Big Spring, and Mrs. Viola Dean of Lubbock; two brothers, Henry and Adolph both of Sweetwater; one sister, Mrs. Willie Backhaus of Loraine; and three grandchildren.
