Appolonia 1st married John Suppes, and they immigrated with their nephew Adam Suppes in 1891 on the SS Furst Bismarck. They lived in Western KS and were poor farmers. John was alive in the 1895 census, but died soon afterwards. They did not have any children. She had raised Adam Suppes (1863-1950) . Adam's sisters were Catherine Suppes Schoenfeld (1858-1947) and Barbara Suppes Holzmeister (1856-1930).

An Aged Man Dead. Joe Wittman of Liebenthal died Monday night and was interned at the Catholic cemetery in Liebenthal today. Mr. Wittman was an old settler in Rush County, a lifetime member of the Catholic church.
