Nancy L. (Coelho) Machado, beloved wife of Leon O. Machado, Jr. (RPD-Ret), formerly of Raynham, died on April 7, 2016 at Tobey Hospital, Wareham. She was 79. Born in Taunton, she was the daughter of the late John and Rachael (Fairbanks) Coelho. A retired purchasing agent, Nancy had been employed by Princes House for many years and was a member of the Eagles of Buzzards Bay. She will be remembered as a loving and caring person who was devoted to her family. Besides her husband Leon of over 23 years, she leaves a son, Leon O. Machado, III of Bridgewater; a daughter, Stacey Machado-Reeves of Wareham; two stepdaughters, Stefanie A. Machado of New Bedford and Jamie L. Machado of Taunton; eleven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Nancy was also the mother of the late Leanne Machado-Hyland, Kathy Machado-DiGiampietro and sister of the late Jackie and Richard Coelho and the late Jean Coelho-Staples. Her funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton, on Tuesday, April 12th at 8:45 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Saint Ann Church, North Main St., Raynham at 10 am. Interment will follow at Saint Joseph Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
