He was born April 8, 1914 to William and Meta (Kai) Jahde at Pender. He was married on Oct. 23, 1936 to Hattie Platt at Columbus. "He was owner and operator of the Jahde Hardware in Albion for 60 years. For 33 years, he played the saxophone om the Gene Pieper Band and played with the Swing Kings." He was survived by his wife, 1 son, 1 daughter and her husband, 1 grandchild, 1 great-grandchild, 1 brother Willis at Omaha, 2 sisters: Elnora Briese, Muriel Young both at Albion.
