He was born in Norfolk, VA and was preceded in death by a brother, David Pope.
He is survived by his father, Jake and Sue Pope of Christiansburg, VA; mother, Kaye Vollmer of Rural Retreat, VA; brother, Keith and Teresa Vollmer of Wytheville, VA; sister, Mary Lou Davis of Wytheville, VA; two aunts, Barbara and Jerry Umberger, Annabelle Pope; uncle, Tom Pope; niece, Destiny Davis; nephew, Darius Sawyers; several cousins.
Funeral services was held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 15, 2016 at the Barnett Funeral Home with the Reverend Rick Lindamood officiating.
Interment will follow in West End Cemetery.
The family will received friends Thursday, April 14, 2016 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
