Coach Stroman was born to William and Annie Menke Stroman, one of seven children. He was a dedicated man who loved God, his country, and served in the Marine Corps on active duty (Korean War) and in the reserves for thirty-four years. His life passion was influencing and helping others. As a teacher and coach at Floresville, Jourdanton, Humble and Ganado, he touched the lives of thousands of young men and women during a career that spanned almost 40 years. Although mainly a football and track coach, to the many lives he touched he was a life coach.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Nancy, of 65 years; his sons William 'Bump' Stroman and wife Lynda, Mark Stroman and wife Renee; his grandsons, Professor Caleb Stroman and Captain Zachary Stroman (USAF); and many close family members and friends.
