Rylan Christopher Ott, 23 months, passed away April 14, 2016.

Rylan is preceded in death by his grandfather Grady Ott in 1983; Grandmother Sharyn Fraser in 2002; and his great grandparents, Doris Ott in 2006 and Arno Ott in 2012.

Rylan is survived by his father, Corey Ott of Deer Park; Sisters, Taylor Ott of League City and Brittany Easterling of Houston; Grandfather, Bruce Gill of Deer Park; Aunt, Meagyn Gill of Deer Park; Uncle, Joshua Gill of San Francisco and many other relatives that loved Rylan dearly.

Graveside service will be held 12:30 PM Monday April 25 at Grand View Cemetery.

Family will receive friends from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM Sunday at Deer Park Funeral Directors, 336 E. San Augustine, Deer Park, TX.

Vass - The 23 month old child that drowned Thursday after wandering from his home has been identified by authorities as 23 month old Rylan Ott. The little boy would have turned two on May 2, 2016.

The child was initially reported missing bringing emergency officials to a home on Pond Branch Road off of Heritage Farm Road shortly after 4:00 PM. The child was reportedly last seen in his yard and was found in a small pond by deputies searching with the Moore County Sheriff’s Department just before 6:00 PM.

20 Apr 2016:
Sheriff Neil Godfrey announced that Samantha Nacole Bryant, age 30, from Carthage, North Carolina was arrested today by deputies for charges in connection with the drowning death of her son, 23 month old Rylan Ott.
Bryant was indicted by a Moore County Grand Jury for involuntary manslaughter and felony child neglect. Bryant was placed in Moore County Detention Center under a $200,000.00 secured bond. Her first court appearance is scheduled for May 31, 2016 in Moore County Superior Court in Carthage.
