Robert "Bob" Reimer
1927 - 2006
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, October 11, 2006, at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 3700 River Blvd., for Robert "Bob" Reimer who passed away on October 7, 2006. Bob was born on September 8, 1927 to Herman and Lydia in Colorado. He was the oldest of five children. When he was three years old his family moved to Reedley, California where he was raised on a farm. That is where his love of agriculture was born. He attended the local high school and then Pacific Bible College. He had a love of music and had a pleasing singing voice. He went from working the farm with his father to selling pianos. He then spent most of his career selling agricultural implements and supplies. He worked for AgChem for over twenty years and then he worked for Verdegall Brothers for several years before his retirement. In his later years he loved camping, fishing, Huntington Lake and Cambria. A perfect day for Bob was to sit on his boat and fish. For many years he worked closely with local agencies serving those with disabilities. He was very generous in many ways. Bob was preceded in death by his son, Michael whom he loved very much, and his parents. He is survived by his four sisters, Evelyn, Elaine, Genevieve, Darlene; two brothers-in-law and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his loving companion of 25 years, Edythe Jones; her children; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom loved Bob dearly. We would like to express our appreciation to the staff at Evergreen Arvin health Care Center for their kindness shown to Bob during his last few weeks. No visitation is scheduled. Robert Reimer "Bob" Sept. 8, 1927 - Oct. 7, 2006 Greenlawn Mortuary
