Anna Christina Frieberg was born in Greso Rheide, Germany, Feb 25, 1891. She died at her home near Decatur, August 9, 1947 at the age of 56 years, 5 months and 14 days.

She married Julius Seltz, June 4, 1909 in Germany. They came to America, November 21, 1921, living near Bennington until 1932, when they moved to Decatur.

She was well known and respected in this community. She was a devoted Christian mother, at all times teaching her children right principals. She was a member of the Lutheran Church and very faithful in her work in the church and the Aid.

She is survived by her husband, a respected member of the community. A son, Julius, died in 1923, when but 6 and 1/2 years old and is buried in Prospect Hill Cemetery, near Elkhorn, where she was laid to rest.

She leaves four daughters; Anna Wesemann of Pierce, Marie Nielsen of Omaha, Frieda Walter of Decatur and Helma McArdle of Elkhorn, 12 grandchildren and two sisters in Germany.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, August 12 at 10 a/m/ at Decatur. Rev. Joseph Werner, pastor of the Lutheran Church officiated.

After the service a dinner was served by the Lutheran Ladies Aid at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Neary. The funeral cortege, then went to Bennington, where at 2:30 another service was held. Interment was made in Prospect Hill cemetery near Elkhorn.
