Obituary / Additional Information: New Bremen, Jan. 30- Mrs. Pauline C. Wehmeyer, age 75, wife of Louis Wehmeyer, R.R.1, New Bremen, died at 7:55 a.m. today at Joint Township Memorial hospital where she had been readmitted last evening for treatment. Mrs. Wehmeyer had submitted to major surgery six weeks ago at the hospital. She was taken from the hospital to the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur SCHROYER, Kettlersville, where she was convalescing slowly preparatory to a second operation. Complications resulted in her death. Mrs. Wehmeyer was the daughter of the late William and Mary Katterheinrich Settlage. She was born Sept 8, 1885 near New Knoxville. On April 15, 1915 she was married to Louis Wehmeyer who survives her along with their two children, Mrs. Arthur (Margaret) Schroyer, Kettlersville, and Robert Wehmeyer, R.R.1, New Bremen, seven grandchildren, one brother, William J. Settlage, R.R. New Knoxville. Mrs. Wehmeyer was a member of the St. Paul's United Church of Christ and the Ladies Aid, taking an active part in them when her health permitted. Funeral services are arranged for 2 p.m. Thursday at the Vornholt Funeral Home, New Bremen with the Rev. E.H. Bassler, D.D. officiating. Burial will take place in German Protestant Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after Wednesday noon until the time of the services.
