Jane A. Vinduska 67, passed away Thursday, April 21st, in Abilene. She was born October 17, 1948 in Marion, Kansas, the daughter of Phillip A. and Esther I. (Teetzen) Vinduska. Growing up in Abilene, Jane attended St. Andrews Parochial School, graduated from Abilene High School with the class of 1966 and attended Brown Mackie in Salina. She had worked civil service at Ft. Riley from 1967 until retiring in 1996 then for Denny’s Plumbing until her health declined. Jane enjoyed gardening, especially growing asparagus, bowling and camping. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Rose Marie Vinduska and a brother, Fred Vinduska. Jane was a past member of Abilene Women’s Bowling Association and WIBC for over 30 years and current member of NARFE.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday, April 26th, at the Danner Funeral Home with Pastor Carson Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in the Abilene Cemetery. A Rosary will be recited 5:00 PM Monday, April 25th, at the Danner Funeral Home with visitation following until 6:30. Jane suggested memorial contributions in her name be made to the Wounded Warrior Project. They may be left at or sent in care of the Danner Funeral Home POB 758 Abilene, Kansas 67410.
