Iris Spitzer, 80 a longtime Jacksonville resident died peacefully on April 25 at River Garden Hebrew Home.
Iris was born in Massachusetts, is predeceased by her parents George and Anne Ringold; husband, Robert (Bob) and daughters, Julie and Susan. Iris is survived by her niece, Debra Cohen, Longmeadow, MA.
Iris trained as a nurse and worked professionally at River Garden until her retirement in 1982. Iris was an active member of the River Garden Auxiliary and served as its president from 1993-95.
Funeral services on Thursday, April 27 at 10am at Temple Cemetery (Evergreen Gate 4). Rabbi Joshua Lief will officiate. Contributions to The Temple, River Garden or Community Hospice.
