Entered into eternal rest on the evening of May 24, 2005, Thomas Engelhard Myers, husband of Jeanne Walker Myers. Residence, Charleston, SC.

The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas E. Myers are invited to attend the funeral services of the former, Friday, May 27, 2005 at eleven o'clock at the graveside in St. Philip's Episcopal Churchyard.

A memorial service will be Monday, May 30th, 2005 at eleven o'clock in Blackmer Hall at Bishop Gadsden.

Mr. Myers was born July 20, 1915 in Charleston, SC, the son of Thomas E. Myers and Louisa Rebecca Bacot Myers. He was a graduate of Episcopal High School and a 1938 graduate of The University of North Carolina. He was a founder and President of Carolina Bank and Trust Company.

He was a founding Board Member of Miss Mason's School; Chairman of the Board and a founder of Bishop Gadsden, Chairman of the Board of The Senior Citizens Council, Former Board Member of St. Francis Hospital, Treasurer of The Episcopal Diocese of SC, Treasurer of St. Philip's Episcopal Church, Treasurer of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, former Commodore of The Carolina Yacht Club, and a member of St. Andrew's Society, St. George Society, Colonial Wars and the New England Society.

He is survived by his wife of Charleston, SC; three daughters: Mary M. Bennett and her husband Harry of Greenville, SC, Ellen M. Richardson and her husband Mark of Portland, Oregon, and Posey M. Royall and her husband David of Charleston, SC; one son: Thomas E. Myers, Jr. and his wife Debra of Charleston, SC; four step-sons: Austin S. Igleheart, Harford W. Igleheart and his wife C.J. Cantwell, John L. Igleheart and Walker B. Igleheart and his wife Rebecca. 20 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

He was pre-deceased by his first wife, Elizabeth Norcross Myers and a daughter Elizabeth Wells Myers.
