Carol Sue Varney, 74, Carey, died May 1, 2016 at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay, Ohio. She was born in Carey, Ohio May 1, 1942, to the late Cecil "Teet" R. and Dorothy "Dottie" (Cole) Turnbell. She married Lowell T. Varney January 7, 1961 in Grace United Methodist Church, Carey. He survives in Carey. Also surviving are her children, Tom Varney, Anchorage, Alaska, Cindi (Jim) Welty, Fremont, David (Joy) Varney, Carey, grandchildren, Aaron Doss, Tricia Doss, Kristen Varney and David Varney, Jr., 6 great grandchildren, 3 siblings, Hal (Bev) Turnbell, Carey, Ed (Brenda) Turnbell, Findlay and Darla (Tom) Nye, Fostoria. She was preceded in death by 9 siblings, Donny, Gene, Tim and Jerry Turnbell, Mary Lou Noon, Ann Puchta, Karen Barchus, Donna Sanford and infant sister, Joyce Turnbell. She graduated from Carey High School in 1960, and retired from the former Westinghouse AO Smith in Upper Sandusky, Ohio. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Carey. Visitation will be held May 4, 2016 from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm at STOMBAUGH BATTON FUNERAL HOME, Carey. Funeral Services will be held May 5, 2016 at 11am at Stombaugh Batton Funeral Home, with Rev. Karen Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in Spring Grove Cemetery, Carey. Memorial contributions may be made to Bridge Home Health Hospice in care of Stombaugh Batton Funeral Home, 225 West Findlay Street, Carey, Ohio 43316-1169.
