Elizabeth Margaret Kleffner Griffith, age 93, of Jefferson City, formerly of Brinktown, departed this life Tuesday, October 17, 2006, at her residence in Jefferson City. She was born June 16, 1913, at Argyle, a daughter of Joseph and Anna Koerber Steinmann. Mrs. Griffith had attained the age of 93 years, four months, and one day.
She was first united in marriage on August 16, 1937, at Brinktown, to Lawrence Stephen Kleffner and to this union eight children were born. Mr. Kleffner preceded his wife in death on July 9, 1969. She was later united in marriage on March 23, 1990, at Dixon, to Adolph Griffith who preceded her in death on October 12, 1998. Mrs. Griffith was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Jefferson City, the St. Ann's Sodality of the Guardian Angels Church, Brinktown; the Brinktown Ladies Club, the Vienna Senior Citizens Center, and the Hyder Senior Citizens Center, Jefferson City; as well as being a devoted housewife and homemaker.
