Our heavenly Father received his beloved servant Bill Loewer, husband, father, and grandfather into His heaven on Fri, May 13, 2016 at the age of 82.
Bill walked by faith in God all his days and was grateful for God’s love and grace.
Services for Bill will be held at 6pm, Sun, May 15, in the Calvary Baptist Church Chapel, Alexandria with Dr. Cliff Stewart officiating. Burial will be in Alexandria Memorial Gardens, under the direction of Hixson Bros, Alexandria.
The family requests that visitation be observed Sat at Hixson Bros, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Bill was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and member of the choir. He was also a member of Gideons International.
During his working career he was a farmer in Roanoke, La. Bill proudly served in the US Army, stationed in Germany. He was a graduate of Louisiana College.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Friedrich and Kate Ewton Loewer; brother, Richard “Dicky” Loewer; sister, Elaine L. Branch.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 55 years, Mildred Aldredge Loewer; sons, William Brent (Allison)Loewer, Charles Michael (Kristina) Loewer, Hoyt Friedrich (Dawn) Loewer, Dawn; brother, Tommy F. (Mardale) Loewer; grandchildren, Madison Bryant Corley, Kaitlyn Brooke Loewer, Olivia Nicole Loewer, Elyssa Camile Loewer Luke, Logan Hoyt Loewer and Tyler Michael Loewer.
Pallbearers will be Madison Corley, Logan Loewer, Tyler Loewer, Justin Luke, Trevor Aldredge and Garrett Horn.
