Glennon L. Ohmes, 80, of St. Charles, died Monday (Nov. 20, 2000) at St. Joseph Health Center in St. Charles.

Mr. Ohmes was a tired assembly fork lift operator from General Motors Corp. in St. Louis, where he had worked for 21 years. He was a member of United Auto Workers Local 25; Knights of Columbus Counsel 823; VFW Post 5077 in O'Fallon; and St. Peter Catholic Church in St. Charles. He also served in the U.S. Army.

Visitation will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m. today at Baue Funeral Home, 311 Wood Street, O'Fallon. A Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. today at Assumption Catholic Church, 115 West Third Street, O'Fallon. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

Among survivors are his wife, Virginia I. Ohmes of St. Charles; five daughters, Judy Henry and Lynnette Link, both of Troy, Peggy Corbin of Silex, Lola Schuette of O'Fallon and Debbie Brown of Moscow Mills; five sons, Gerald Ohmes and Paul Ohmes, both of Wentzville, Daniel Ohmes of Middletown, Mo., Mark Ohmes of Moscow Mills and Kevin Ohmes of St. Peters; 23 grandchildren; and eight grandchildren [sic].

Memorial contributions can be made to Masses in care of Baue Funeral Home, 311 Wood Street, O'Fallon, Mo. 63366.
