Peter Larson Died in Manville Hospital, May 11th

On Friday, May 11th, the death of Mr. Peter Larson, of Irma, occurred in the Manville hospital. Mr. Larson was one of the earliest settlers of this district, coming here by the way of Manville with his wife and two small children in May, 1907.

Since leaving Sweden, his native land, Mr. Larson had lived at Fracee, Minn., until he moved to his homestead at Irma where he has steadily improved his farm and made a good home for his wife and family.

During the past two years Mr. Larson has been in poor health, having to spend a considerable portion of his time in the hospital. At the time of his death he had just passed his 68th birthday. The deceased leaves to mourn his loss: his wife and eight children, Helen, Herbert, Arthur, Rupert, Earhard, Edith, Marcus and Alden, besides one brother, Victor, here in this district, two brothers and one sister in Sweden.

The funeral service was held in the United church, Irma, on Sunday, May 13th and conducted by Rev. J.R. Geeson, pastor of the church. A large crowd of friends turned out to pay their last respects to the deceased.

The beautiful floral tributes were contributed by the following: Mother and children; Victor and Charlotte, Mr. and Mrs. R.A. Larson and family; Mr. and Mrs. Roberts; Mr. and Mrs. N.S. Johnson; Mr. and Mrs. Frickelton; Mr. and Mrs. J. Fletcher; and Mr. and Mrs. Percy Jones.

The pall-bearers, who were all old neighbors, were as follows: G.W. Hardy, C. Brown, E.J. Jones, B.A. Clelland, W. Prosser, and R.A. Larson. Interment took place in the Irma cemetery.
