26 Oct 2006: Barry B. Lehr, 57, died at 9:41 a.m. Tuesday, October 24, 2006, at York Hospital. He was the husband of Brenda L. (Frey) Lehr. Barry and Brenda celebrated their seventh wedding anniversary April 24, 2006. Born May 15, 1949, in York, he was the son of the late Roland F. Lehr, Sr. and Muriel V. (Feiser) Lehr. Barry was a 1967 graduate of York Suburban High School. He retired as a Transportation Equipment Operator for Pennsylvania Department of Transportation in 2005, with 30 years of service. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. Barry was a member of Liberty Social Club. In addition to his wife, Brenda, he is survived by two daughters, Vanessa M. Thomas of Philadelphia and Anjanette L. Slenker of Dover; two stepsons, Chad S. Flinchbaugh of Dover and Michael L. Flinchbaugh of York; stepgrandson Daniel M. Flinchbaugh of Dover; sisters Carol A. Bair of York and Darlene L. Kuhn of Dallastown; brothers Sonny Lehr of York and David R. Lehr of York; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Funeral Saturday at Etzweiler Funeral Home and Cremation Service, York, Rev. Richard E. Godfrey, pastor of Madison Avenue Church of the Brethren, officiating. Burial in Prospect Hill Cemetery.
