He was the son of John Edward and Elizabeth Philomena (Link) Borgerding. On Oct 12, 1945, he married Edna Dorsten, who preceded her in death.
Surviving are a son, Bob (Jan), St. Henry; a daughter, Jane (Dan) Bruns, Chickasaw; a brother-in-law, Leland McBride, MI; a sister-in-law, Ludwina Miller, Coldwater; and five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Deceased are two sons: William and David; a brother, George (Mary); five sisters: Marita Hess, Edna Cummings, Laura (Elmer) Dorsten, Clara McBride and Betty Borgerding.
He was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church, a lifetime member of the St. Henry K of C and was a graduate of St. Henry High School. He retired from Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater.
Catholic Funeral Liturgy will be at St. Henry Church, with Deacon Randy Balster officiating.
