A longtime Hutchinson resident he was a Foreman for Sonoco retiring in 2009 after 31 years of service. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, South Hutchinson.
He married Angela Espinoza on July 28, 1978 in Hutchinson, she survives.
Other survivors include his four sons; Edward P. Biera and fiancé Cathy Moss, Hutchinson, Joshua Biera and wife Jenine, Jeremy Biera and wife Jenny, all of Garden City, Eriberto Biera and wife Linda, Hutchinson, three daughters; Merceedes Montalbo and husband Felix, Becky Thompson and Vanessa Biera and fiancé Matt Williams, all of Hutchinson, brother Robert Biera, Peoria, IL, two sisters; Mary Ramirez, Lamesa, TX, Virginia Biera, Hutchinson, 12 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren, and was a beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers; Joe, Philip, and Henry Biera, and a sister, Micheala Mendoza.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM, Friday, June 3, 2016 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, South Hutchinson, with Father Ned Blick celebrating.
Burial will follow in Fairlawn Burial Park.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Wednesday and 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, Thursday, with Parish Rosary at 7:00 PM, Thursday all at Hutchinson Funeral Chapel.
Memorials may be given to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in care of the funeral home.
