George Eighmy RHINEBECK—George I. Eighmy, 75, a retired blacksmith, died Saturday, February 1, at his home in Old Rock City Read. Born in Rock City, June 1, 1899, he was the son of Irving and Emma (Pink) Eighmy. His wife, the former Lulu M. Buckner, died in 1974. Mr. Eighmy is survived by a son, George L. Eighmy, Rhinebeck; two grandchildren; a brother, Nicholas Eighmy, California; a sister, Mrs. Marion Losee, Clermont; a half-brother, Clarence J. Day, and his step-father, Clarence L. Day, both of Kinderhook, and several nieces and nephews. Private funeral services were Tuesday at the Dapson Funeral Home, 65 W. Market St., Rhinebeck. The Rev. Sylvester Bader officiated. Burial was in the Rock City Memorial Lutheran Cemetery.
