Further information provided by persons with relatives buried in this place, the contributions of treebranches have been helpful, thanks!

Also THANKS TO Loah Martinez, who, by way of the find a grave grapevine with help of member LIN, contributed the Rose family photographs and the following pertinent information:
"Vera Rose was born in Camp Creek, WV, in 1910. In the April 1910 Camp Creek census, his parents Lonnie Rose (age 18) and wife, Winnie Worrel Rose (age 21) were recorded as having been married 0 years and having 0 children. Sometime later in the year of 1910, Vera Rose was born and he died at Camp Creek in January 1913 of tonsillitis (Wv death record). A small gravestone with the wording "Vera Rose 2 Years" was placed at his gravesite.
Vera's brother, Harry, was born in 1916. Harry's daughter, Loah Rose Martinez, has provided additional information about Vera. Loah said that when she was growing up, Vera was referred to as "Uncle Vera". Harry told his children that he had five siblings: Vera, Reggie, Irene, Jimmie and Billy. Harry had a baby picture of each of his siblings which Loah inherited, and has made available on each of these children's find a grave memorials.
According to Loah, in his later years during the 1980's her dad Harry moved to Camp Creek. He poured concrete around Vera's original gravestone and wrote his parent's names, Lonnie and Winnie Rose in the cement. He also wrote each of his siblings' names in order of birth; Vera, Reggie, Irene, Jimmy and Billy, and then below their names he added Brothers and Sister (just one sister, Irene).
We know there is a lot of confusion about little Vera Rose for a number of reasons.
1. His Camp Creek birth recod and that of siblings Reggie and Irene are missing.
2. His death record indicated that he was a female. The death record error is understandable because of the approximate 400 children named Vera who were born in West Virginia during the time frame of 1895-1910, only eight were males.
3. The mysterious beautiful gravestone with the name VR Rose, brother of Harry, dates unknown, approx. 1908 was placed at the gravesite. Who put it there...and why...will probably remain an unsolved mystery!"

(Loah's additions are welcome, and help a great deal with the confusion of whether Vera was actually sister or brother. I agree that her father saying they called him "Uncle Vera" confirms he was a male child. ~ aye ain't ~ )
