Clara Margaret (Cramer) Biggs, 97, lifelong resident of Greenview, passed away at her home on Friday, June 10, 2016. Clara was born on August 26, 1918 the daughter of the late Emil and Bertha (Diers) Cramer. Clara married Lee Gowdy Biggs on June 20,1936, they shared 65 years of marriage together until he preceded her in death on November 22, 2001. Clara was also preceded in death by 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
Clara was a longtime member of Mason City Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and planting flowers in her garden.
Clara is survived by her children: Betty Cooper of Pekin, John David (Nancy) Biggs of Richmond, TX, Gary Lee (Peggy) Biggs of Springfield, Charles Douglas (Mary Ellen) Biggs of Springfield, Robert Dale (Donna) Biggs of Springfield, and Kenneth Michael Biggs of Port Charlotte, FL, 17 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great grandchildren, a brother Emil Frank Cramer of Lacon, IL, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A funeral service celebrated by Pastor James Sprinkel will be held on Tuesday, June 14, at 12 noon, at Mason City Assembly of God Church, 121 E Arch St, Mason City, IL 62664. The family will receive guests at the church from 9:30 am until the time of service. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Greenview.
