Dale Phillip Edwards, age 46, was taken suddenly to the loving arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Nov. 2, 2006.

Dale was a lifetime resident of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., and loved the beach life. He was a dedicated father to his son, Nash Edwards, and loved him dearly.

Dale is survived by his parents, Nick and Bertha Edwards; brothers, Don and wife Wanda, Mark and wife Helen, Scott and wife Julie; as well as sister, Jana Bartz and husband Wally; and his fiancée, Sandy Kelley, and her children, Danielle and Samuel Kelley. Dale also leaves nieces, nephews and many friends, as well as the numerous kids he coached throughout the area's recreation teams and leagues.

He graduated from FSU and enjoyed following the football team and the Washington Redskins. Dale's real estate career never kept him from time with his son. The two were inseparable and loved each other's company. Dale was a great son, brother and friend. We look forward to our reunion with him.

The family will receive friends at Emerald Coast Funeral Home, 113 Racetrack Road N.E., Fort Walton Beach, Fla., from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 5.

Funeral services will be held at First Baptist Church, where he was a member, on Monday, Nov. 6, at 1 p.m. with Dr. Howard L. Gates officiating. Burial will follow at Beal Memorial Cemetery.
