Rosella S. (Wiegmann) Mennen, 80, of Allison passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2013, at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City, Iowa.

She was born May 8, 1933, in rural Butler County, Iowa, to Conrad and Ida (True) Wiegmann.

Rosella graduated from Bristow High School in 1950 where she was valedictorian of her class.

She was married on August 6, 1953, to Melvin M. Mennen in Vilmar, Iowa.

Rosella was a homemaker and also worked at the Butler County Courthouse, Folkerts Seed Farm, and other local businesses.

She was a member of the First Reformed Church of Bristow, where she was involved Reformed Church Women's Group and served as Organist and Treasurer of the Church for nearly 50 years.

Rosella enjoyed putting together puzzles, solving word searches and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her son Kelvin and his wife Sandy Mennen of Humboldt; son David Mennen of North St. Paul, Minnesota; sister-in-law Meta Wiegmann of Dumont; sister-in-law Helene Mennen of Dumont; brother-in-law Francis Winkowitsch of Aplington; brother-in-law Bob Schneiderman of Bristow; grandchildren Kelly and her husband Josh Sandquist of Grinnell; Aaron and Alexa Mennen of North St. Paul, Minnesota; great grandchildren Isaac and Greta Sandquist of Grinnell; and many nieces and nephews and special friend Dawayne Deberg of Bristow.

Rosella is preceded in death by her parents, husband Melvin, brothers Glenn and Orville (Mike) Wiegmann, sister Neva Brinkman and granddaughter Cassaundra Mennen.
