Mr. George Uhl, who died at his residence in this city on Sunday night after a brief illness of five days, was a member of the firm Uhl Bros., wholesale dealers in wall paper. The main office of the firm is at San Francisco Cal., with small branch offices in other cities. The flourishing condition and rapid growth of Jacksonville attracted Mr Uhl and he came here to purchase real estate. He had just completed the purchase of a valuable piece of property on Adams street near the Board of Trade building, when he was stricken with what proved to be his last illness. Mr Uhl was a member of the Masonic fraternity, and a Knight Templar. The body has been embalmed for shipment to his home in California in a week or ten days, when all arrangements shall have been made.


Sent Home for Interment:
Funeral Director Chas. A Clark of this city shipped the reamins of Mr George Uhl, who died her last Sunday night, to his home in San Francisco, Cal., yesterday morning on the 9:10 train via the Seaboard Air Line. An escort of Knights Templar accompanied the remains to the union depot.
